  • The Senior Class of 2019 has big plans for the future.

    On May 25, 2019 the Sierra Blanca High School celebrated commencement of the class of 2019. Our seniors have big plans for the future.

    Valedictorian Jayme Penalosa will be attending Angelo State University in San Angelo,Texas this fall. Jayme is interested in a career in the health field. She plans to major in health sciences. Jayme received The Kelli Bobbit Scholarship, Beta Sigma Phi Scholarship, and The Carr Scholarship.

    Salutatorian Blaine Gray is headed to Oklahoma! Blaine will be attending Oklahoma State University in the fall. She plans to major in linguistics, and become a speech pathologist. Blaine received scholarships from, The Chamber of Commerce, Beta Sigma Phi, Beta Sigma Phi Chapter, Chacon Family, Bramblett Family, and Hudspeth County Republican Party Book Scholarship.

    Giovanni Canaba will be attending college to pursue a sport career at the collegiate level. He plans to major in kinesiology and minor in science education. Giovanni plans to become an athletic trainer or science teacher.

    Anthony Colmenero Bustamante will be attending EL Paso Community College. Anthony plans to become a physical therapist. He will complete his basics at EPCC, then transfer to The University of Texas El Paso. He received Scholarships from, the Thin Blue Line, Lone Start Investment, Beta Sigma Phi, 1st United Methodist Church Family, Chacon Scholarship, and from Sierra Blanca Bank.

    Victor Lopez enlisted in the United States Navy Earlier this year as an Intelligence Specialist. Victor will be leaving in July for Basic Training. Victor received educational benefits totaling $324,300 from the U.S. Navy.

    Viviana Gutierrez will be attending The University of Texas El Paso. Viviana plans to become a neonatal nurse. She received scholarships from The Bank of Sierra Blanca, LaSalle Corrections, and The Thin Blue.

    Noah Maynard will be attending EL Paso Community College in the fall.

    Jonathan Ramirez will be attending EL Paso Community College. He received scholarships from The 1st United Methodist Church, and from The Bank of Sierra Blanca.

    Victoria Sanchez will be attending Odessa College in the fall.

    Sofia Seymour will be attending college in Dallas this fall.

    Sara Wolf plans to pursue a career in law enforcement. She plans to become a United States Border Patrol Agent.

    Suzan Wolf will be attending EL Paso Community College in the fall. She plans to complete her basics there, then transfer to Texas A&M.
