I come from a family of educators and have served school communities in numerous capacities — substitute teacher, classroom teacher, coach, principal, director of special programs, and school board member. I am a strong advocate for small rural schools and have served on the executive board of the Texas Association of Rural Schools (TARS) and on the board of the Texas Association of Community Schools (TACS). I spent nine years as a superintendent and retired from Valentine ISD in 2025. I am honored to serve as the interim superintendent and excited to be part of Sierra Blanca ISD as the district transitions to new leadership.
