I am Michelle Rogers Penalosa, and I have the pleasure of teaching 1st and 2nd Grade here at Sierra Blanca ISD. I have been with the district since 2006, taught every level and almost every subject, so I am proud to know each and every student within the district. I received my teaching certificate from Sul Ross State University for 1-8 self-contained with Reading Specialty. I have been teaching for 24 years, and I love it because I never have the same day twice. If you should ever need or want to get in contact with me, please feel free to stop by, call the school, send me a text 432-213-8402, or email me at email@example.com.
Since Spring Break, I have been making packets to hand out to my students in order to continue their education amid the Covid 19 pandemic. I have contact with parents and students through Class Dojo, You Tube on the "Little Vaqueros" channel, social media, and my personal devices. I have been helping to hand out materials and lunches on Monday and Wednesday during this time. I try very hard to make myself available for any questions or concerns by being active at school as well as through the computer and my phone. My students are doing awesome thus far, and I am super proud of the way they have been doing with our current situation. I also appreciate all the great help and work that my parents have been giving to their children. It is great that we all work together.
